This wait is getting unbearable nowww....

Me in same boat. Can't agree with you more. It used to take like 10 days tops for a file to clear once in Process. I think we have got a really lazy visa officer.

Its 170 days since I applied...I can't take the wait. Especially because its festive season. One cannot be this half baked on festive season.

But Thomas it is better to give for add change right? Because later on the applicant spouse's add will also change and will have incorrect add! What do u think?

but Chitraajay, see in my case i sent a letter to ND to change my address and after that change nothing has happened in my file.. not even single response.... i guess they have taken out the file to change the address and then forgot it... so if we check with the postman whether he is comfortable with the address in ECAS and is he okay to inform prithiv that he has a post from ND likewise...

even i am going to meet my area post man and have a check ...

if we think the other side.. if ND is done with the process and have any confusions they will for sure call and check for the right address...

Dont know wht happen to ND VO after 1st Oct...
Thr are no updates...No change in my ecas...
Its been almost 24 days since we are hearing any gud news from VO....

God please give us strength to bear this pain....

One thing i m nt getting is tht ..how come before 1st Oct they were giving visas so soon

If any one getting In Process, they get visa within a week or so but right now no idea even after getting in process, when will DM come?

Also everyday min one or two DM use to come..but now since 1st Oct...no DM y?? dont know..

Seriously thrs something wrong with us...I feel we r the most unlucky people....

what happen in case if passport go back ND because of address confusion by post man....Did you try to know about that case? or did you hear?

Also thomas, I am suggesting you...dont trust on ND? check also to your old address and post man? bz i know you gave notice to ND about your address change but still ND might mistake to send PP to ur old address...it is very common for ND to make mistake..

let me tell you my case- when I became PR on that time I change the address but still they sent my PP to my old address, I was lucky so the people who was leaving on my old address they called me

but any way does anyone know what happen if passport go back if mistake by post man or something else

Is there really a law or it's just a speculation that it slows down the processing??
Am asking this because my wife is coming to India next week for about 3 months because my Mom had a surgery last month and now she wants my wife to be with her all the time till she recovers completely..
I visited this forum like everyday but when I read this post I got confused.. Please tell me, she has to come and it's not possible to cancel the trip, any suggestions or mails need to be send to NDVO for intimating this??

I Contacted NDVO on the above and here is the reply I got.. ;D ;D ;D
I sent them a mail on 23rd evening and got a reply today morning..
That was QUICK.. It also tells us about the current situation at their office..


"Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration Section of the High Commission of Canada in New Delhi. Please be advised that sponsors visit to India during this emergency, would not effect the processing of your file.

We acknowledge that our office has received your original passport(s) for this application.

Due to the high volume of correspondence received by this office, it generally takes several days following receipt to process passports and place them on file. The file is then directed to the attention of a processing team for a review to take place to ensure all requirements have been met for the application to move to the next steps in processing.

This file is currently pending review by the responsible processing team and a decision by the officer. As soon as that review has taken place, our office will contact the applicants if any further documentation or information is required.

Please note that all statutory requirements must be met before we can issue visas. We therefore cannot provide you with a precise date by which this application will be finalized and the passports returned. Your continued patience is appreciated. Rest assured that we give the highest processing priority to cases which are ready for visa issuance for which passports have been submitted.
