Passport Request: 1st Oct 2012 (thru' email)

So far so good....but now starts the game as Applicant got a lonnnggg travel history:-( hopefully it will go thru' smoothly...

hey Im kind of confused with reading your reply... where you mention "we are waiting to get the Singapore PCC, once we get it in hand, we are ready to desptach".

From the CIC website - it clearly states that the Singapore CID office will mail the PCC directly to the Canadian Immigration Office. here is the link for your reference.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/asia-pacific/singapore.asp

If you live outside Singapore

Applicants residing overseas should submit their applications, including all of the supporting documents listed above, by mail to:

Head Criminal Records,
CID (COC Office)
Blk D Police Cantonment Complex
#02-07/08
391 New Bridge Road
Singapore 088762
E-mail: SPF_CID_COC@spf.gov.sg
Website: www.spf.gov.sg

For Non-Singapore Citizens

A COC request letter along with a COC Appeal Application Form will be sent to you by the Immigration Office after reviewing the application. You are required to complete the COC Appeal Application Form, plus a COC Application Form that you may obtain from the SPF website (please see address above). Once you have completed the forms, provide the required supporting documents listed above, and submit in-person or by mail to the COC Office. Please note that the Certificate of Clearance (COC) will be mailed directly to the Canadian immigration office requesting the certificate.

Hello Friends,

I am planning to go and meet my wife. The wait is getting unbearable and also recently my project finished in Canada.
And as its November/December months, when no projects are available. I have already stayed in Canada for 8 months this year.
My spouse principal applicant application is still going in New Delhi. Please advice. Can I go to India for 2 months.

Thanks,
Godhelp

No, don't go.
If they find out that you are not living and working in Canada, they will definately reject your application. Working is not that imp but living is very imp. If you take a few weeks off work that's fine as your base is still Canada since u have a job here. But if u don't have a job and u move to India, then ....
Dont take risk.
They work as per rules. if u are not living in Canada, then it's 100% reject. It all depends whether they consider your visit to India as a visit or living in India.

Thanks LondonOntario for the kind advice, but its really strange, as I already spend 8 months in canada in this yr.
So people cant travel during sponsorship process, its really very sad. We cant travel and also they wont make the decision.

Thanks,
Godhelp

The website states for residents of Singapore and non-resident Singaporeans. In our case, applicant is residing in Singapore and hence the PCC can be collected in hand, i guess....pl. advice

I am Canadian Citizen and i got AOR. So i am going to India for 5-6 months to see my wife. Can this affect my case?

Personally I don't think it should be a issue.keep a copy of all documents with you ,least they ask for any of them while you are in India and have somebody check your mail ; just in case they correspond with you on the Canadian address.
This is my opinion consult with other members on the forum too....

Until n unless u dont receive yr approval ...plz dont go..as i have seen in past tht those who went to india w/o approval caused delay...
Once approval done , then u can easily fly...:)
