Hi vrajput, if your case is straight forward then as far as I know the timeline they give on CIC website is overall time they take for processing. Meaning if they say 6 months the whole process i.e. step 1 and step 2 altogether will take 6 months. It is not separate 66 days for step 1 and other 9 months for step 2.

I am not surÉ but some people here faced same problem. They were outside india and received PPR, then they either sent their pp with any of their relative or friend coming to india or they sent an application to ND visa office for sending them a second PPR at final stage of issuing visa. Then ND vo will send you second PPR after processing your file and it will delay your file processing for a couple of weeks. I think fadll80 can explain it bette® or you can read his older posts. Hope it helps

Just checked my file and here is what it says...

We received your application for permanent residence on March 20, 2012.

We started processing your application on August 30, 2012.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

Wife's current home address is shown Brampton, ON....

A question- So they will contact us regarding something or just send us the passport???

Hi, Vrajput is right, the time is seperate Stage 1 is 66 days (updated weekly), stage 2 is 9 months (updated quarterly). But on average for stage 2 straightforward cases only take 2-4 months, not the whole 9 months.

First of all- whenever I get passport request on that time we have to mention where they should return our passport? because My wife living in small town and there is no good postal service in india. So can we submit our passport to VFS Canada and return go to VFS and pick up our passport

also second question is whenever we sent passport, you guys write any letter with passport

Parth,

You can send a letter with your passport. You can write any instructions or any clarifications you think might help the visa officer.

Now in your case you can also write this same thing that you would like to come collect PP. But I think if the add is good enough to get PPR letter thn it should also be good to send PP to.
