yes i wa in UK for 14 months on student visa and it didnt delay my case at all. when i contacted my MP and got GCMS notes before interview, they said "background checks and security checks are not started yet and will be conducted after successful interview" i had my interview on July 31st and visa stamped on August 3rd. I think, they finished BC and SC in 2 days or didnt do anything. i think it depends on purpose of travel and they take longer for work history

what is actually a Bcakground check according to CIC,

in IT companies they give the candidate details to BC agency to check for the information given by him/her is correct and if the BC is positive then the candidate can continue the employment if not he /she will be terminated..

about VO ND, what kind of informations do they check... do they compare the details what we have given is matching with the BC data's?

in my case am working in a company and will the BC agency check with my present employer and previous employers? i have totally changed 3 companies before coming to this present one.. will this delay my process? I have no travel history...

any thoughts??

I was on student visa for 2 years n 6 months after that on PSW for 2 years what u think about my case???after how many months u inquired ur MP n GCMS notes..ur advise is valuable ...what u think when should Inquire MP n about GCMS...

what all questions did they ask?,I think they have made it a trend to call maximum ppl these days...did they ask for additional docs?
i think others also should get ready for telephonic interview.
