Hi Muksi,

When i check ECAS i am getting this under Application Received:

We received [applicant's name] application for permanent residence on January 15, 2013.

We started processing [applicant's name] application on February 6, 2013.

Medical results have been received.

I am not getting whether my application is in INPROCESS from Feb 6. Hope you got it what i meant to say. I am confused, i just want to know whether my application is in INPROCESS or not :(

Second line- 'We started processing [applicant's name] application on February 6, 2013' is the one for InProcess

Why cannot a person visit canada while the pr visa is still in process..is it recommended to try n get a visit visa if the procedure is taking time...have heard that they usually reject such applications....cn it be explained to them in writing that the pr visa is in process and I just want to visit the spouse? :'(

Its strange, because it says inProcess from the date the file was transferred to New Delhi. Also in the first page it says Application Received. So i guess the InProcess might be a mistake. But we will never know for sure . So Hope for the best and wait.

Since it says 'We started processing [applicant's name] application on February 6, 2013.' It means that it's In Process and they started this on Feb 6th.

Don't worry too much about ECAS (though I know we all do!) because it can be really unreliable.

Hey! You can try to get a visitor visa while your PR in progress, but they will probably reject the application.

I applied for a visitor visa after marriage but before PR and was very honest about the fact that we were going to apply for PR in a few months once we had all the documents and I got the visitor visa. But I have heard many people under similar circumstances being rejected.

Hello everyone

I have a query...does the ecas system update anything like 'passport received' after they receive the passport at NDVO...my status shows in process since 4th april 2013...while they received my passport on 9th march 2013.

Also there appears to be some glitch in my update...it shows "null" before my name ..the update goes like this ...

We received null [applicant's name] application for permanent residence on December 21, 2012.

We started processing null [applicant's name] application on April 4, 2013.

Medical results have been received.

What does this 'null' mean before my name??

I have a [null] before my name too. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. It's just stupid ECAS.

;D

Sorry to hear that you have an interview.

Please refer to the below thread about New Delhi interviews, if you have not seen already. Wish you all the best for the interview!

@ chd123 and zenn

I am following this forum since last month. I have been in Canada few times on visitor visa.

May I know why they asked you to do RCMP? Is it because you guys lived in Canada for longer than 6 months on student or work visa or visiting visa?

Thank you so much in advance. It will be really appreciated.

Hey.. I was in Canada for almost 6 months... They dont always ask for it and you do not have to submit it with your application. It is only in some cases that they ask for the RCMP fingerprint clearance to be done...

What is your time line like?

I stayed for not more than 5 months.

Do you think NDVO will ask for fingerprints in my case? Did it ask for it before or after PPR in your case?

Thank you.

I got my PPR in October and they called me in March to give my prints in April...
To be honest, only God and the NDVO knows how NDVO works.. Hope you do not get called for it.. Good luck

hi guys how much time to issue visa after submitting remedical???we submitted ours in march end.

Hello all,

Just checked my ecas today and my spouse's address changed to our Indian address.

Know idea whether it is a good sign or bad ? Does anyone know.
