New comer - Wire transfer (Got PR)

Hi,

I am moving from India to Canada soon and wanted to know what are the options to transfer money from India to Canada.

I will be withdrawing my PF money and it will take more than 3 months and by the time I will be in Canada so wanted to know how can I move PF money to my Canadian account.

Unfortunately, I don't have parents or siblings to take care of wire transfer.

I would welcome your advice on this matter.

Check ScotiaBank. They have what's called "StartRight" Program for newcomers.
They let you open a bank account from India. Check with your bank if you can wire the money directly there. Some countries have currency restrictions, not sure if India is one of them.
