Hi everyone,

I have a two year long Ontario college Diploma and I'm thinking about applying for New Brunswick. The problem is that since Bachelors degree is so essential nowadays, I'm thinking about doing a top-up degree from France or the UK. Here is the issue, if I complete a top-up Bachelors degree in either of these countries will the assessment agencies for Canadian immigration recognize them? I don't think they evaluate Canadian diplomas at all so if I send them my one year degree, will they consider it as a full Bachelors?

Side question: If I end up completing a top-up degree, is it possible to just claim points for my Canadian Diploma for New Brunswick PNP? I know that to enter the federal pool, you have to declare your highest qualification.

I would appreciate anyone's replies or ideas on it.

Your question has ambiguities, however below points may help you:

Why don't you check it yourself, here.
Note: Actual evaluation may differ from this preliminary evaluation.

Canadian degree isn't required to be evaluated, however you can send it along with your Bachelors degree documents. Also, I doubt that one year degree will be evaluated as full Bachelor.

For Canadian degree only, it is simplest, no need to get any evaluation.

Hi. Thanks for replying back. So if I do end up getting a top-up degree, will I be able to enter the pool with just my Canadian Diploma? If I don't declare my Bachelors degree, wouldn't that constitute as a misrepresentation? I know that in New Brunswick PNP, they do ask what you were doing for the past 10 years. I would appreciate your thoughts on it.
