Hello members,
I am a new member as well as a new applicant for PR. I am a Malaysian citizen. I went to Canada for a month between Sept and Oct 2011 and got married to my fiancé. We went thru our civil marriage in the city hall and waited 2.5 months for our marriage certificate. Our marriage cert is ready now and it is time for me to start my application for PR. I have printed out the guide for the application but I still have questions about it.
1) It's stated in the forms that I need to provide all the addresses that I've stayed before after I turned 18. I went off to Tokyo, Japan to continue my studies and I stayed there for 5 years. My questions is, in that 5 years I stayed in Tokyo, I've shifted about 3 to 4 times and I can't recall any of the addresses except for the city/province name. Can I just state the city & province name?
2) On the police clearance, do I need to get one from my own country, Malaysia? and another one from Japan?
3) I know I have to complete all forms online and print it out and sign on it with the bar coded page. After completion I have to send all my documents to my sponsor (who's my husband) in Canada. On the guide, it stated the size of the envelope which is rather small to fit in all my documents. Can I use a bigger size envelope beside the size stated on the guide?
4) Do I have to report or go to the Canadian High Comm office anytime during my application?
I might have more questions once I start collecting all my documents and completing all the forms online. I don't want to make any mistakes or left out any important documents as I really want to go over to be with my spouse soonest possible. I hope some one can help me along the way.
Thank you for your kind patience with me
and for any of your help too
