Hi,

I just took my IELTS and have few questions before I submit my EE application.

a) ECA - Can I request ECA for only my highest education (Msc) and If I want to get points for my husband do we need to get his ECA to?

b) I am also applying for jobs myself , can I get points for job secured outside of the job profile I create.

U can get points for a valid job offer only if u r primary applicant

Great thank you for the reply. I think I’ll go ahead and submit my express entry application. Would you recommend a get a work permit pending the express entry decision since I have a start date on my offer. I’m moving within same organisation and I’m Irish.

I forgot to add that I’m the main applicant and my current company will sponsor with work permit and can include my dependant( husband & baby) who will also be part of my Express Entry application. I have limited information on Canadian work permits and it’s effect on PR. So I’m unsure if it’s worth my while just waiting on decision of the express entry application. My problem is the timeframe.

yeaaa... so any valid job offer LMIA... is dual intent... u can use.. it... it should be written on ur LMIA page 3... i had used it for both parallely ahhahaha

Thanks for your reply. I’m not sure I explained the situation well.

So this is my current situation, I am an Irish citizen and I got a job offer to our Canada office. I’m currently in Ireland and will start working with the company’s immigration team soon to finalise on my work permit which I have been advised will include my dependents ( husband and baby).

I am also ready to submit my express entry application. So I’m unsure if it makes any sense waiting for ITA and the whole of getting PR as it takes longer than 6 months and my new role will start earlier than that.

You can start PR application after moving to Canada as well.

Now inget it.. yup start once u move here.. thats what i had done..
Reason one u r inland applicant,
