Detroit Tunnel route:
Went yesterday. Returned today. For being safeside i gave covid PCR test at henryford and Rite-Aid(projectbaseline).
Last time i entered 21 days ago. Still officer did not ask on test after asking questions on where i reside and where i work etc.
I myself asked him on exemption criteria and asked him if he can include me in the list. He said that there is no list and they exempt whoever goes frequent such as twice a week or so.

So it looks like some officers want at least once a week and some expect twice. But i think that once a week is doable to get test exempted as even this person is allowing me for 3 weeks gap.

If any of you dont know, the best part of these PCR tests is that its free :)
https://www.henryford.com/free-covid-test - Received test result in 21 hours.
https://www.projectbaseline.com/ - Received result in 31 hours. My friend received after 2-3 days for him a week ago.

My friend tried a test at https://www.wellstreet.com/covid-19-testing-beaumont/ and received result same night(midnight).

https://www.projectbaseline.com/ - Yet to receive result. My friend received test on the third/fourth day hence this test will not work for our commuters.

Returned through Detroit tunnel few days back. Was exempted from both quarantine and test for first time. I have been traveling once a month since last 4 months and this is the first time I got exempted.. I had traveled last early February.. I had taken the test results out of precaution from the state I go to work (it was free and results were ready in about 14 hours)

Questions asked by CBSA were - country of citizenship, status in Canada, how long have I been gone, why did I go, what do I work as, at which company do I work. And then officer mentioned that I don't have to quarantine this time and he didn't look at my tests too. I asked about being exempt during next visit, the officer mentioned that it would be decided by the officer present at that time.

I believe as long as someone has somewhat established travel schedule (not necessarily daily or weekly) and returning from work, they'll be exempt from quarantine and tests.
