Hi all!
Need your opinion please.
As I mentioned in my other posting we got an email from the visa office in Romania to provide them with an additional info. On the email it also stated the this info should be provided not later that in 45 days. We sent info in the next day by email, fax and courier.
Does this mean that they will look into our file after 45 days not before even if they received our letter in 5 days?

They will look at it when they receive it. They are just giving you a deadline. If nothing received by the deadline, they will make a decision based on the information in the file.

I'm not sure about that. It seems that some offices just put it 45 days farther back in the file and look at it again when that time comes.

That is a possibility, that they will put a new BF date on it if the officer doesn't have time to review. But they will remove the old date that was attached to the deadline for requested documents when the request has been fulfilled. Their job is to make decisions and complete files. They like to make decisions and get files closed as soon as they can. I know that sounds like a contradiction because the waits are so long but they really don't sit around on their hands with the intention of torturing people. I've yet to hear of an embassy that wasn't smokin' busy.
