Hi,

I joined this forum today. I have a question regarding my application that I made some time back.

When the CHC called and did a background check about me with my former employer, he gave a different information keeping a different person (with the same name as mine) in mind. Hence I received a mail from CHC to provide clarification on this within 30 days. As said the actual confusion was about my name and hence my former employer confirmed incorrectly to the CHC.

I am now writing back to them explaining this situation. I also requested my former employer to send a mail stating this confusion and he has already sent it. I would like to know how will this be treated by CHC. Any expertise would be of great help.

Before getting this letter, I got a letter stating that I should complete my medicals and send PP. Should I send it with this letter or should I wait for the confirmation from the CHC regarding this descrepancny and then send it.

Appreciate your time in helping me.

Rgds

Hi there,
that 2nd person your boss got confused with, did he applied for canadian immigration aswell. if yes its easy to confuse both and i think send a covering letter along with letter of explanation from CHC within time limit and explain that , boss got confused with 2nd person who also applied for immigration , and CHC can double check that there are 2 people from that organization who applied.
If the 2nd person has nothing to do with Canadian immigration then why your boss mentioned his name, still you can ask your boss to send a convering letter and you explain separately.
this is my openion, senior to comment plz.
Meanwhile send your Residence Free and Passport as reqested by CHC, as there is a time limit for that to submitt. Good luck

From which Visa Office are you applying? It is quite unusual that they are asking for medicals and passport without going through the job verification process.

The other person has nothing to do canadian visa. Since i worked there 6 years back and another person with the same name also worked there, my former employer thought that verification call is regarding the other person and hence all this confusion.

Are you sure that I should send the PP and fee even before I receive their nod that the confusion is clarified?

Rgds

domingo bhai,
We have gone through medical in Nov 09 and employer never recieved any call uptill now, so basically High commissions got their own pattern of working, for some countries only letter is enough, like in UK letter from Bank confirming amount in total is enough, CHC knows that no bank will give fake letter to account holder and may be thats the case with employment letter or reference letter aswell. (in UK).
plus I think there are different sections within CHC and jobs are assigned to them, so the verification section will do their verification while other section will ask for medical and at some point they enter the information on system. dont know just gussing :-\

I am from India & send the application to the Delhi office. Appreciate if seniors in this forum provide me some thoughts
