Hello,

I did not know about the recent change in CEC which states the 6 NOC Codes that are ineligible to apply. So I have been working under NOC code 1311 under 3 different employers with a total of 1 year now and have a Canadian univeristy undergrad degree. Do I have any other options I can consider to stay in Canada. I have been super upset as it ruined my chance to stay here. My work permit expires next year in June. Please help.

It didn't ruined your chances to stay in Canada don't worry. As a last option consider changing your province if you are in Ontario, and apply under PNP.

I think you are referring to Alberta PNP? So I have no chances as of now to get immigration in Ontario right? I was considering going to a lawyer but you seem educated. Thank you for your help.

Couple of province I know which have good PNP: Nova Scotia and Alberta. You should definitely see a good lawyer, they will surely give better advice compared to me. I wont say you have no chances to get immigration in Ontario. No need to be freaked out. You still have more than one more year to go. :)

If you plan on staying with your current employer -

1) Opportunities Ontario - Depending on when you graduated and whether your employer is willing to submit a PNP application, then you might still have time to apply under Opportunities Ontario - you have to apply within 2 years of graduation -

2) Federal Skilled Workers - Arranged Employment Stream -

Thanks Jes for your kind response. I actually did read it and it says graduated. That was the reason I was asking.

You said in your first post that you have a Canadian undergrad degree, which means you graduated. If you didn't graduate, then you don't have a degree.

Try reading it again.

Undergrad is not the same as a graduate degree. :).

Just to clarify, I spoke with one of the representatives regarding international student with job offer and they said I need a Masters degree. And they said "we clearly wrote graduate sir".

My current employer has given me a 7 month contract as well, so right now things don't look bright. Thanks for the help though.
