Hi,

I am also flying to Canada in the Ist Week of Feb, i am planning to land at Edmonton but my Flight goes through Frankfurt to Toronto to Edmonton, then where i need to complete all these formalities, at Toronto or at Edmonton. At Toronto there is 2 hours halt, can i complete the process in 2 hours, whether i need to carry all my baggage there for check up and again handle over to the airways for Edmonton. And one more thing how much time will they take for the whole process. Please do advise

Dear Duggal,

U can do it anywhere provided that u r passing thru the passport control. If your flight is w/out change & thru transit, u may land-up for the pp control only at Edmonton -your final airway destination.

However, if u r deciding to reside at Edmonton, then it must be noted that at AB u r getting your 'healthcare' immediately [no 3 months waiting period, as with other provinces]. Thus, completing your 'record of landing' at Ed is a better option.

All the best !
