Need to send new passport to IRCC

Hello Forum,

My work visa got approved for canada with passport due with expiry on june 2018. After i got letter from IRCC for passport, i got my new passport. Now my questions is, do we need to do any changes in application regarding new passport or inform IRCC about new passport through some mode of communication or should i send directly my old passport and new passport to IRCC?

Any help would be appreciated.

Solution: New and old passports need to be submitted with a letter stating the reason for submitting new passport.
