Hi, Forum,

We recently got our CoPR. We are on vacation now so will be landing in Montreal upon our return. We have our CoPR in hand, which lists our CSQ number (and CIC has a copy already), but we don't have the physical CSQ with us. Does anyone know if this will be an issue/problem?

Thanks.

Re: Need CSQ in Hand when Landing in Montreal?

They will ask you for CSQ. You have to have it.
How you don't have it. When you applied through Quebec, MICC issue that to everybody. They will ask you to show them paper of CSQ.

I have been issued a CSQ and have my copy at home: it also shows that I have one on my CoPR: I just didn't pack it with me on my vacation: it's at home in Montreal. Suppose I will just flagpole upon my return then.

ok, whats a COPR or CSQ ?? >:( :( :( :(

COPR: confirmation of permanent residence. The document you get along with your visa (if applicable) when the process is done, and that's what allows you to land and become a permanent resident.

CSQ: Certificat de selection du Quebec. A document needed for those immigrating to Quebec.

I would explain the situation. They might be okay with it, but you still might have to flagpole. It just depends.

It says you can request a new one but it takes about three weeks but it says also that you MUST have it to register for things in Canada.

Thanks for your replies, folks! We'll see...
