I am a Filipina, I’ve applied for a TRV a month ago to visit my Canadian boyfriend whom I’ve been with for about 10 months, the application got declined. We are planning to apply for another one, and to make it strong and long. We have a problem on proving my proof of ties as I recently quit my job, no property on my name, I’ve got a few travel history going in and out of the Philippines. I wanted to know some tips on how to make our application stronger, what ties can I show for this application? My boyfriend brother in law which is a police officer, will also be writing us a letter saying he will take full responsibility if I don’t leave Canada on the said date, will this be enough ties? Help I need suggestions, thank you very much.

The letter from your boyfriend's brother won't help at all.
What you need to be able to show is your own ties to your home country that demonstrate you will return there. I would wait until you have a full time job again and have worked in that job for at least 3-4 months before you try reapplying for a visitor visa.
Thank you scylla, what if we wait until being together for 1 year and we apply for a common law of conjugal visa. Do you reckon there is more chance for us to get that than a TRV? Thanks.
To qualify to be sponsored as a common law partner, you must first continuously live together for a full year. Simply being in a relationship for a year does not make you common law.
For conjugal, there must be immigration barriers preventing you from getting married or becoming common law. What is your status? Are you single? Married to someone else (but no longer in a relationship with them)?
I am single, and so is my boyfriend. We rarely see each other because of our situation and was never granted with a visa. Will this be enough reason? What are the possible immigration. If we get married will this be easier for a Spouse Sponsorship Visa? Thanks.

And it doesn’t make sense, is my boyfriend suppose to quit his job just for us to be together? Is there no other way for us to be together if my TRV keeps getting declined. Last time I have applied, I attached a Certificate of Employment but that didn’t help either, so why is it necessary for me to get a job and wait 3-4 months, if my last application had enough proof of ties.
Yes, to qualify for conjugal, there needs to be both immigration and legal barriers preventing your from marrying or becoming common-law.
He doesn't have to quit his job to visit you and get married.
