So my current girlfriend was never married before but has a child from her pervious boyfriend. The previous boyfriend has that child and will not accompany us to canada away Should I declare the child on pr application or let it slide? If i declare the child what documents do I need to prove that boyfriend has the custody of that child as they don't have anything in written

Declare the child. Seriously, declare the child. You will declare the child as unaccompanying - this means the child is not being sponsored now, but could be in future.

If declared as unaccompanying, no need to demonstrate custody. The child will need to have a medical check - part of the procedure. (If the boyfriend objects to this - just advise, a minor cannot be sponsored without the custodial parent's approval)

Why is this important? If not declared, the child can never be sponsored. It may seem unimportant now, but who knows what happens in future.* It may only be the child wishes to come to Canada when a young adult (sponsorship can be before age 22). Both your partner and the child may deeply regret in future.

* Vaguely recall a case where the custodial parent passed away and ... it was a problem.

Ok then we can declare the child as I don’t want to lie on paperwork . If there is no xtra paperwork then no problem
If the other parent cooperates with the medicals aspect, should all be smooth. (Biometrics possibly? Depends on age, IIRC). There will be a cost for the medicals.

I won't guarantee 'no extra paperwork' but it shouldn't be onerous. I don't recall what else is needed, I think primarily birth certificate of the kid. It should be in the instructions.
