Hi I was wondering if there is some info or someone on the same time line as me!!!
sponsorship for my wife in Cuba.


Well cic received my file September 5 2014
I was approved December 13 2014
Havana received my file December 29 2014
now it's July 7 2015
from September 5 to July 5 ---10 months
from December 29 to July 5 ---7 months
on July 17 my wife's medical will expire what will immegration do...
how much longer. I know I have to be patient but really. Can anyone help?

There's a chance they may extend her medical, but be prepared for them to ask for a re-medical.

I was hoping I could be provided some help with the process. First let me start by saying is that we are planning on getting married but don't even know the 'right' way of doing it in Cuba. It will most likely be in Varadero, but if anyone has any details or suggestions with price or venues or how much the certificates cost? Is there anything I need to do ie: translate after for Canadian sponsorship application?

Also, Im not understanding the process. From what I gather, first you apply to Canadian cic.gc which takes about 2 months and then this application gets forwarded to the Havana Canadian Embassy or Havana Cuban Embassy? And the interview....I will have to fly from Toronto back down for this interview?

Please help.... in love and very confused with the 'government' paperwork and process.

To sponsor your wife or husband who is Cuban, you send in the sponsorship application and the immigration application together to the visa office in Mississauga. They will evaluate the sponsor, and will then send the whole application to the visa office that deals with Cubans - the Canadian embassy in Havana.
If there is an interview, the visa officer will want to interview the applicant. The sponsor does not have to go. If the visa officer wants to speak with the sponsor, he or she will phone. This is very rare.
