Hi guys,

Today my husband checked his email and they requested for his passport and 2 pictures :D I'm thrilled!

BUT for some reason they also said to include proof that I (the sponsor) had intentions of living in Canada once my husband arrives. This is because I had studied abroad for 2 years, however I have since then been back in Canada and living with my family until my husband arrives. How should I provide them with proof that I'm back in Canada? I don't understand why the think I'm not? I am currently not working at the moment because I want to find a job specific to my study, but my father has offered me a position in his business.

Any help would be greatly appreciated guys!

Thank you in advance

A copy of recent mail showing your address in Canada together with a letter explaining that you're already re-established in Canada and are now waiting for him to arrive should suffice.

A letter of employment from your dad's company should be fine, but although, there might be some issues with conflict of interest there. If you can get a college admission in Canada, that would help as well. To show proof that you are back in Canada, send them a copy of your passport biodata page as well as Immigration Canada entry stamp. Send your health care card, valid Canadian drivers license, insurance, recent cell phone bill or bank statement.......anything that proves that you have indeed resumed residency in Canada.

Good luck.
