Need PCC - Can I get PCC from my local police in India if I am currently in Canada?

Hi,

I need a PCC urgently but there are no appointments available at BLS India untill July.

The CIC website says:

"You can apply for a Police Clearance Certificate at

• at your local district police station
• Passport office
• Indian embassy or consulate
• BLS International Centre"

My question is - If I ask my father to get a PCC on my behalf from my state, will it be accepted in my PR application?

Did you try getting it from the local police station and whether it worked?

I think the presence is important because without my presence I tries to get a PCC for USA from India but i didn't got. in final with the help of A1 passport and visa provider i get it done.
