Need Info regarding getting Canadian PR through Spouse.

I would really be thankfull if somebody assist me in getting clarifications on the below one.

1.I am a software professional from India(Citizen) and my fiance is a Canadian PR currently staying and working in Canada.We are getting married in April2010.He wants me to get into Canada as a PR after marriage.What is the process,duration to get a Canadian PR sponsored by Spouse?

2. If my spouse apply for my PR when i stay with him in Canada,how lengthy and tough process it is when compared with the above process?? i mean how long will it take to get my Canadian PR if i stay inside Canada ??

3. If i enter Canada with WorkPermit visa,how difficult it is to get My Canadian PR after getting married to a Canadian PR?

4. Is there any possibility to apply for Canadian PR even before marriage so that i can also fly along with him after marriage i.e May2010 ??

I wanted to fly to Canada along with my husband but he wants me to get my Canadian PR before flying.When enquired about the duration,heared that it will take 4-5 months to get Canadian PR when sponsored by spouse.

Someone please suggest me a good idea so that i'll also fly to canada along with my husband.

PRs in Canada can sponsor spouse without any diffuculty provided they stay in Canada. There are 2 options you can choose from. 1 is Inland process provided you are already in Canada on a temporary process and 2 is when you apply from outland. Typically outland tends to be much faster. For Indian citizen its about 4-5 months depending on your background/police clearance. Now, lets say you choose ouland and in this case, your file will be processed in New Delhi. Outland is a 2 stage process and the first stage will be one month and the second stage will be done in New Delhi for about 4 months. Please check www.cic.gc.ca for more information

The process in longer could take anywhere from 8 months to 2 years but this has some downsides that you cannot leave the country while in process.

Your status in Canada on a Work Permit will not affect the sponsor process. Your WOkrpermit will let you owkr in Canada while you can still choose Outland from NEw Delhi. You will then probably have to fly to India to get your PR visa stamped and then you can come back as a PR>

You can get the process started now but its going to be much easier to apply once you are married. This will make your scase more solid and no queires and delays.
