Need humble advice!

Hey,
I am new to this.

My wife applied for C16 work permit(implied status but she is currently working full time). She has TEER 2 job as assistant childhood educator. I am on implied status as Visitor record.
We were trying to apply for my SOWP but for some reason IRCC questionnaire asking me to put expiry date of my permit but since i am on implied status, i don’t have any. I been doing lots of research and reading online and people suggesting to put future date and then explain in letter of explanation afterwards.

So i have 2 questions?
1. Can i apply for my SOWP if my spouse is on implied c16 status
2. If yes, which date should i put when IRCC asking in questionnaire.

She applied on SEPT 25 2026. We do have AOR but its process.

Your ability to get an SOWP would be tied to C16 approval and length of job offer.

We were trying to apply for my SOWP, but for some reason, the IRCC questionnaire is asking me to enter the expiry date of my permit. Since I am on implied status, I don’t have one. I’ve been doing lots of research and reading online, and people are suggesting entering a future date and then explaining it in a letter of explanation afterward. I also came across the term ap33 while researching related information, but I’m still unsure how to handle the expiry date correctly.

You may be eligible to apply for a spousal open work permit, but your wife’s pending C16 application and maintained status do not automatically qualify you. Her job and your circumstances must meet IRCC’s current eligibility requirements. For the expiry date, don’t enter an arbitrary future date. Check IRCC’s instructions for applicants on maintained status or contact IRCC for guidance. You can explain your current visitor status in a letter of explanation and provide proof of your pending application, if applicable.
