I am an Australian and I came to Canada on a visitor visa in September. The reason I came was to be with my boyfriend, he is a refugee claimant awaiting a decision. My visitor visa expired after the 6 months and I have been overstaying since then. I don't know what to do, I don't want to leave my boyfriend because I'm not sure when I will see him again. I have been living off my savings and I am now out of money, I don't have the money to return to Australia anyway. My boyfriend and I want to get married, but I don't think that would let me stay in Canada as he doesn't have PR status yet. Is there anything at all I can do so that I can become legal, or so that I can stay here with my boyfriend? Thanks.

i'm not sure how the law works overthere for refugees but all i know
is that if your boyfriend previously put you on his application that migh be
a good step.eventhough his PR isn't issued yet, as you have no choice
you could consider getting married and wait till he gets approved and maybe
you could benefit it.

good luck
