I graduated last year from York University with a Business degree. Now I am on a 3 year post graduate work permit. After a few months of doing agency jobs, I got a job as a Client Service Rep in an HR company. I have been working that job for around 5 months now. They pay is good, the benefits are great, and the company is a forbes 500 company with really good perspective of moving up.
The problem is that right now my title is not considered in NOC 0, A or B category. AS a result I dont think that I can apply under Provincial nominee program for Ontario or under the Canadian Experience class.

Can someone please help me with my options? My work permit expires in April 2013. Should I start looking for NOC 0,A,B jobs or can I still work my current position and be able to apply for permanent residence status. My work permit is an open work permit so can it be extended, and are there any conditions for it to be extended? I am guessing if I can get a 2 year extension on my permit, this will give me enough time to get a position with in my company that qualifies for NOC A category.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You can not get a 3 yr. PG work permit extended. Your employer would have to apply for an LMO if he wants to keep you. Discuss this with your employer and at the same time look around for some skilled jobs elsewhere.

Everything comes down to your employer.He/she has to submit the required documents to service canada for approval.
