Hi there, I came to humber College in 2014 sep intake and some how have to drop off from my course due to family problems and financial crises. It's been 1 and half year gap or duration now since i'm out of college and i'm furthe planning to take admission by coming month of May 2017. Is it possible that CIC will extend my study permit as my visa is getting expired in sep 2017 ? Any solution for this would Hearty appreciated,Thanks.

Others will correct me but given you dropped out of college it is possible your study permit has been cancelled assuming the college reported you for non attendance so you will probably need to apply for a new study permit.

Thanks for getting back,May you please pull down the details how i can approach this process while being in Canada ? Like what do I need exactly to do ? should I concern a lawyer or something ?

Hello,

I would suspect that CIC would have a problem with this because by not attending school you are not meeting the conditions of your Visa under the student class. What were you doing while not in school? CIC might ask for evidence of what you were up to there. You are allowed to reapply for a study permit within 6 months of the expiry of your Visa so long as you have an acceptance letter.
