need help with a citizenship application question

Is it possible for a Permanent Resident to request CIC to cancel a citizenship application that he applied for a while back?. If so then does that person need to send an application? and to whom?.............Dont ask me why he needs to cancel

Send CIC a letter stating you want to withdraw the application. If there are any investigations that have commenced under the Citizenship or Immigration Acts a withdrawal won't make a difference.
