I will be applying for PR in a couple of months after our marriage in Canada. I am a teacher and have lived in the following countries - Japen, Korea, Australia and New Zealand. I am a UK citizen and will need to apply for 5 police record checks. We are applying from outside Canada through the London Visa office.
Should I send the police checks with my initial application or do I wait for the London visa office to request them. Also I think with Japan I need to have a letter from the CIC stating the reason why I need a criminal record. I don't want the processing time to be hindered by the record checks. I have read in some forums that the police checks are required straight away and others are requested by the processing office, so I am a little confused.
Also do I need to get the consulates to post them straight to the visa office or can they be sent to me and I forward them.
Please help!
