Need help to apply for a spouse

I have approval letter for Sept 22 intake.
I am planning to apply for a student visa after I get married next month.
My agent is saying I should apply for my wife 2-3 months after I reach to Canada in Sept. But that would take another 4-6 months.

Can I not apply for my spouse with me? Would it be risky to apply with me?

I appreciate anyone's input on this.

It depends on your situation, but applying with your spouse will weaken your family ties in your home country
