Hi everyone,
I got my PR visa yesterday and i am intending to travel to Canada on 08th May 2011. On my landing papers, the intended destination is Montreal. However, now i want to stay in Hull, Quebec and the nearest airport is Ottawa. Landing at Montreal will be very tiring and costly for me. I have a 3 yrs old year daughter and I am looking for the option which be best for her. I will really appreciate if someone can help me out on this matter. I will be still staying in Quebec but the intended destination will be different from the one mentioned on the COPR.
Regards
Shahzad

You can land in any other port in Canada, with an onward journey ticket to Quebec. As your destination is Montreal you can give the address and contact number in that place to the Immigration officer at any port of entry where you land to complete the landing formalities. Proceed to Montreal accordingly after that.

Thank u guys.... How soon I have to leave for Quebec. Well, i am intending to land in Ottawa and go immediately to Hull, Quebec by Taxi. However, is it possible to stay for 2-3 days in Toronto before going to Quebec. My sister stays in Toronto and it will be great if i can meet her before going to Quebec and obviously, it will be best for my daughter.

I don't think staying 2-3 days in Toronto will be a problem, though I am not very sure.
Better ask in the provincial immigration board.
They will be more informed on this matter.
