Need Help on Spouse Visa!!!

Hello Friends,

I have file my Visa last week, I would be doing a one year graduate certificate course.
Initially i am planning to go alone, but after few months i would want to bring my spouse also to Canada...

there is no clear information available anywhere that wife could come along with you while you are in student visa. Also she would like to work there, will she be granted work permit.

I am pretty confused...guys need your help....

Hey buddy,

There are 2 ways

1)You can apply VISA for her (Temporary Resident Visa) along with your application.This is the most preferred way.

2)When you are already there send a copy of your student visa to her and then she can apply for Temporary Resident VISA.

Once she is there, she can apply for a open work permit and work with any employer.The duration of her work permit validity will be same as your work permit.

Thanks for your response. but i dont find any any details or application mention for dependent visa.
I could only find Visitor visa. but under visa my wife can't work...

dear its better apply together for spouse you have to apply visitor visa than at canada airport u apply open work permit for your spouse its better to apply to getther other wise its very difficult to get visa for spouse

Sorry buddy for the late reply.

I had applied for Student VISA and Temporary Resident VISA for my wife at the same time.

I got my VISA stamped and her VISA is under processing (which is logical as I was the principal applicant and they will look into her application only if my VISA is approved)

In your student VISA application you need to fill details for your spouse. Also please tick they she will accompany you.

Fill TRV application for her and apply together.
