Hi,

I recently graduated from a private institution from hyderabad in B.Tech (I.T) with an aggregate of 63%. I am planning to pursue my higher education in Canada. For this I went to a consultant who based on my scores (GRE-1080, TOEFL-93, IELTS-6.5) is recommending me a PG Diploma instead of Masters. I'd like to know if the suggestion is a good one and will it affect my future as I'm planning to acquire a work permit after my education.

Also, I was told that if I do opt for PG diploma, I can later transfer some of my credits for a Masters program. Is this practical? Or would it make any sense if I wait out until the admissions for spring 2013 and apply for Masters?

Any advise would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance.

I'll help with one question.

Assume none of the PG diploma credits will be transferable to a Masters.
