Need help from seniors

I got CEC recently and went to Canada and got it stamped. I came back to my home country as i want to go after getting a job. I trying few options from my home country.

My son's passport is expiring, i have to renew now. But the PR stamping is done in his current passport, so how do i go about it? Pls let me know.

PR stamping is independent of passport validity. Once, he gets the new passport, you can staple the old passport to the new when he travels.
