I have been admitted to University of Manitoba (PhD program) for Sept 2014 intake. But could not secure adequate funding. I could only get 50% scholarship of 1st years' tuition fees only and not for living costs (first year tuition fees is $8000 according to offer letter).

I need help with "proving the adequate funds" while applying for my study permit. I know that I have to show 80% of the first years fees+ $10000 towards living costs. How much funds should I show via education loans?

What are the chances of securing a visa?

1. You are going to have to show $4K for tuition (with the 50% funding) $10K for living expenses, and $2-3K for travel. How you accumulate the $16-$17K funds is up to you.
2. Who knows.
