BUT ISN'T IT the new law saying max 6 months? ?

I do not know about laws but on their website it says currently it can take up to a year. They mean the whole process including test and finally oath. A lot of people seem to get it faster though.

On their website, it says that it can take up to a year for the whole process to be finished. I assume they have so many applications that this is the current time frame.

CIC replied me that it may take 1 year to finish the whole process.

But it seems my case is much slower than others.
