Need Help ASAP - FBI PCC fingerprint mail before leaving the US or after

Hi,

I'm in a situation where I have to leave the US by 17th of Dec. Currently, I have already applied for the IdHS on the 30th of Nov using the online application form and have the confirmation email for this request. I opted to sent my fingerprints by mail and got the FD-258 filled at my local UPS. Now I am waiting to post the fingerprints and the printed confirmation email.

The IRCC recommendation says the PCC has to be issued after I leave the country, but I'm not clear on the application dates. Should the application dates for PCC also be after I leave the country? Or will the FBI PCC have the date of when my fingerprints are processed at the FBI center?

Can I still use this confirmation if I post my fingerprints just a day or two before I leave the US?

I am not sure where did you hear about IRCC recommendation but I was in similar situation as yours and I got my FBI PCC done recently.

I was in USA until 2019. Then I moved to India. I applied for FBI PCC recently online and mailed the documents physically from India(whiich you did already at UPS). I paid fee online from India and I got my PCC reports in pdf via secure link from FBI within 5 days in the registered email. You can just download from the account you have on FBI.

I did my whole process while in India. FBI also sends physical report which you can either give India address or somewhere in USA/Canada. I gave my relative's address in Canada and he received the report after a week or so.

1. What is the date on your PCC? Is it the date when you applied or the date when they generated the document?

Cause if it is the date they generated the report then I can do the same think you did and mail my documents when I get to India, so I can be sure they will generate the report after I have left the US.​

But if the date on the PCC is the date when I applied then I might have to get another PCC done when I'm in India. I have to think of this as I have applied when I am in the US but want it to generated when I leave the US.​

1. It is the date when they generate the report
2. I did it by myself. I just watched couple of youtube videos, got stamp pad, finger printed the form, mailed it to the address and received the response via email in 10 days or so. You can download the PCC in pdf which you can upload to CIC account.
