I came to Canada with study permit last year, the study permit expired and right now I am extend as a visitor, I went to Service Canada but they couldn't give me SIN No. since I am a visitor status.

so my question is how to claim tax with my husband since I don't get SIN No..
Thanks everyone!!!

I filed my taxes and included my wife and just left the spot for her SIN blank. You can also put 000000000000 in the spaces if you like.

Thank you. I did the same thing just left the SIN blank. But several weeks later I got the letter from CRA asking for my SIN No., they couldn't process my tax right now. :'(

You only get a SIN with work permit. You need an Individual Tax Number (ITN). http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/E/pbg/tf/t1261/README.html
