I have received letter from High commission of Canada, London to submit Passports, Photographs and updated information. However, I have problem with Given Name (First Name) in my and my son’s passports. Complete name (Surname and Given Name) is mentioned under Surname line in my and my son’s passports. In addition, it’s blank under Given Name line. But, Passport Specifications 3rd point states that the Given Name (First Name) of the passport-holder must be clearly printed on the Given Name line of the bio-page of each passport, and should mach information provided by you on your Updated Information Chart. I am confused with this, I need expert’s suggestions. Will high commission of Canada, London will accept our passports or I need apply for change name in passports?

This happens a lot with Indian passports as there are so many different formats for names in India , unlike just the first and last names in most countries. How does your name appear on your UK visa ?
