We recently finished the application process with a lawyer and it was mailed Oct.24th. What kind of time line am I looking at? My lawyer said if all goes smoothly he could be here by spring or our one year anniversary May 24th. I'm kinda skeptical though.....and thinking she may have just said that since we paid her an arm and a leg to do the paperwork for us.
Does anyone know an estimate if there are no bumps along the way.
My husband is US and I'm sponsoring him to Canada

1. 67 days for approval/refusal at Mississauga
2. 11 months for 80% of the applications for spouses in Buffalo.
3. Be skeptical

If you applied out-land then most people get it before the 11 mths, but don't expect it to be a 3 or 4 mth turn around period. For the record, my husband sponsored me, and we applied at the end of February 2011. I received the request for my passport (PPR), which signals the end of the process and the awarding of the PR visa, on Dec. 5, 2011.

You can get more info from people going through this process here: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/thread-for-outland-buffalo-applicants-t41886.8310.html
