I got engaged in April 2011 and while applying for a study permit I cud not declare that i am engaged as there was no option mentioned for it and thus came in Canada on study permit in August 2011.Since I got an opportunity to study in one of the best colleges I withdrew from my college in September itself. Now I will be studying in winter session starting in Jan 2012.
Initially i stayed with our common family friend who is known to both of us for few days and then I moved in with my Fiance before getting married in Nov 2011.
1- Should we declare that we did a proper engagement ceremony in back home with the consent of our parents as it was arranged in short period of time since my husband had to leave for Canada soon?
2) Since I'm on study permit would it mean to the immigration officer that I used study permit as a option to be in Canada?Please suggest what should we do and what is the best option so that the risk factors are reduced.
Looking forward for some valuable suggestions/information.
