Hi everyone,
I recently received an ITA under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) and I’m a bit unsure how to handle part of my foreign work experience before submitting my application.
In my Express Entry profile, I had claimed 3 years and 2 months of foreign work experience , out of which about 9 months were self-employed. I have client letters, bank statements showing payments, and a cash receipt for one project.

My concern is that:
  • The self-employed period may not appear completely continuous (2 months had no projects).
  • One of the clients was a family company, and although the work was real and payments were made, there are other unrelated transactions with him in my bank account that might cause doubts.
My CRS score stays above the cutoff even if I remove the self-employed experience.

Should I:
  1. Keep this experience in Work History and try submitting whatever proof I have, or
  2. Move it to Personal History to avoid any potential issues or misrepresentation risk?
Would really appreciate insights from anyone who’s been through something similar or has professional experience with CEC applications.

Thanks in advance!
