Need advice on Canadian Experience class

Hi,

I am applying for CEC category. I am working as a foreign exchange trader from August-present. I am going to apply in August as 1 year will be completed by than, but i have some doubts before i apply for this category:

1) Is it ok i am getting minimum wages $10.95
2) what duties and responsibilties should person have to apply for this field?
3) is it come under NOC list?
4) I got a raise and now my yearly salary is $28K as they promoted me as a sr. foreign exhange trader , should i mentioned that in my letter
5) i dont have a canadian security course so does it matter as it is one of the requirement in NOC job requirement

If that's somewhat close to the average salary in that field, then yes.

2) what duties and responsibilties should person have to apply for this field?

Check the HRSDC website and find the corresponding NOC, then check if the duties match yours.

3) is it come under NOC list?

Every job has a NOC number, you just have to find it.

Yes, every position, duration and duties have to be mentioned in the letter. Please refer to the document checklist
for required information that has to be in the letter.

Not sure what you're talking about. Maybe post the NOC so we can have a look at the HRSDC profile.

I confess I know little about the field, but from the NOC, it looks like the course and provincial licensure are required, although that may vary from province to province. Jobbank indicates it is a regulated occupation, median wage $32/hour.

The only other forex occupations listed under the NOC classification are Skill Level C and don't qualify under the CEC program -

I checked the NOC Codes the foreign exchange trader comes under NOC A.. em i wrong

Yes, NOC 1113 is Skill Level A.

What are your job duties? Check with the HRSDC inquiry team (c-cnp @ workingincanada.gc.ca) on a suitable NOC code for your occupation.

As for salary, I am not entirely sure as to how big a role it plays in CEC but if a VO is unable to confirm your occupation with your selected NOC Code, then I would think that they would look at your salary details and compare it to the average salary for your occupation in the market, to check if you actually perform the duties mentioned in your choice of NOC. In your case, it looks like your occupation could either be Skill C or Skill A. A deciding factor could be your salary.

Again, it is upto you to convince a VO that you have performed majority of the duties mentioned in your choice of NOC.
