Dear members,

After applying for PR under CEC i got BOWP based on the AOR. I quit the company which i was working on a closed work permit (Intra Company Transfer).
I got another job in canada and working now as full time employee since october 2014. But as of now I have not updated this to CIC. I thought new update might cause delay in getting MR.

Is it good if I update this information to CIC since I have got RCMP request from CIC so along with that i can also send my current job offer and employment details.

Will it impact my application or create any confusion due to change in role&responsibility?

Dude dont hide anything and dont lie anything to CIC.. Changing job is not a crime. What If they call your employer and get replied you dont work there any more. What if they ask you to re-send any updated form. Try to avoid these things. Tell them you have changed your job.

Thats my personal opinion.

Nope you don't have to update CIC. Your CEC application is based on your past experience and it doesn't have anything to do with your current employment!
Did they actually want you to update them with this information? If yes then they will dig deeper and if they have any concerns about your application and current job they will ask you for documents for clarification.

Do not confuse the VO. The last thing you want is a confused VO processing your application.

Rule of thumb: do not provide information unless you are asked to.

You are neither lying nor breaking any rules here. And as I mentioned before, if they have any concerns they will contact you.

Best of luck,

An excerpt from AOR email (CEC)-

"Please inform the visa office of any changes in your application (e.g. birth or adoption of a child, marriage or common-law relationship, new occupation or employer, change of address, change of e-mail address, change of immigration representative, etc). Please include a letter identifying what the changes are and any relevant supporting documents. If your documents are not in English or French, send a notarized (certified) translation with a copy of the originals."

Thanks

I think this may be a standard AOR that applies to other economic class as well, eg PNP and Skilled workers?

Since some CEC applicants are applying from their home countries, and the required experience can be gained in the past 3 years, personally I don't think informing CIC about job change is that important, as long as all other information is true and accurate.

Thanks every one for guidance.

So far I have not got any request to submit my current employment details. CIC has only asked me to submit RCMP certificate based on finger prints which I already submitted along with the PR application. Hence I have responded them to the same email with copy of the RCMP certificate that I had already submitted. in parallel I am also doing the RCMP once again incase this becomes a road block for my application process.

i have applied for GCMS notes and waiting to see if any updates are there. in case i find any notes related to my current employment or job then i will take further steps to send my documents.

Plus one for this! The last thing you wanna do is confused your VO, and put your application under re-review. There have been too many people here that got their application pending for so long because of re-review or being transferred to another officer. Besides, they will contact you if they have any concerns...

By not following what unfrgvn has stated you are putting your application at risk, this is clear on the CIC site. I phoned them today about this as I have just started a new job, they provided me with a link on how to update them.

Any accepted job offer does not change CEC application.

Hi everyone,

I need advice on the same situation. I am starting new job in first week of May 2015 & I have already given a resign notice to my current employer.

I am just wondering when do you( seniors) think, I should inform CIC for the job change?

What documents do they actually require for this?

@saja_roy
Have you already informed them ? If yes, what CIC ask you to provide to them so far ?

Please advice.

Thanks! :)

Any updates on this issue?

Do we have to inform CIC for new job (in home land) if we are PNP based PR applicant?

My AOR is 2 Nov

I joined new employer 9 Nov

Application doesnt includes points for new employer :)
