What I meant by the rules of changing status is when I am able to change her status of accompanying vs non-accompanying as well as if the process would have to be started completely over for her and therefore her be the primary on a new app vs them just adding her to mine at some point.

Again, read each response already provided. As I stated in a previous post, she can be changed to accompanying up until you land as a PR or you can land and then sponsor her.

Another user in post #21 stated basically that the Immigration website is unclear as to when in the processing it could be changed, so I wanted to be 100% sure that I have the correct information so I do it right.

I posted that the link I provided did not specify. I am sure canuck in UK is correct. If you wish to confirm, research Govt sites.

I have been looking through the website. Some of it is a blur because I have read and reread some of the pages so much. However, in the help centre it says: "You can’t add a child to your application if we finished processing your application and you have already become a permanant resident." This makes it sound like both have to be true to make it so, but somewhere else, and forgive me for not knowing where exactly, it says that you cannot make a change once a decision has been made. I am pretty sure I read that somewhere in all this form filling process (which I have had to do twice now because my computer decided to do an update and I didn't save all my forms... silly me. Plus, I am checking and rechecking all this to the point of brain numbing because I am so afraid it will be sent back for a silly mistake.) I would love to talk to someone that went through this.

Changes can be made up until a person lands as a PR. Many on the forum have done this.

That statement is ONLY if you did not include them on your original application as un-accompanying. That is when you cannot add a child to be sponsored after the fact.

Canuk is correct as well you can change to accompanying before your application is complete. However that may add some time to processing

Thank you for the clarification. I have been reading the website for days trying to find what I was looking for.
