Greetings,

I am recipient of express entry ITA and today received email for submitting my passport for the purpose of finalizing my application. The email is from CPCO-Final Request/CTDO Demand. The problem is that my passport is just near the six month expiry deadline (6 months and few days) and want to renew it before i submit. Now the question is that should I inform CIC? what would be the procedure? has anyone done this before? Since every passport has its own unique identifier so I fear could that be a problem?

Thanks

Yeap, what you should do is submit your current passport for stamping. After it is stamped, go and get yourself a new passport. Then take both passports with you when you travel. The COPR would still be valid even though you renewed for a new passport. Lots of people have done it this way, no problem.
