Hi everyone,

I’m in the process of preparing documents for Express Entry and got stuck on NBI Clearance from the Philippines. I’ve seen some people mention “Hit” status causing delays, and I’m worried it might affect my timeline.

Has anyone here submitted NBI Clearance for Canada PR recently?
Did you face delays or extra verification? And how long did it actually take in your case?

Just trying to understand if I should expect any issues or plan extra time.

Yeah, the “Hit” status is pretty common—it just means your name matched someone in their database, so they need manual verification. It doesn’t mean there’s a problem, just adds extra processing time.

From what most people experience, normal clearance can be same day or a few days, but with a “Hit” it can take around 1–2 weeks (sometimes a bit longer). It’s a good idea to apply early so it doesn’t affect your PR timeline.

Got it, thanks for the clear explanation that actually makes sense now. I’ll just apply early so it doesn’t mess up my timeline.
