Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
I was discussing CEC with my classmates and one of the questions that came up was that the name of the company also may have a say in influencing the VO's opinions.

For example, if I work for say RBC or Hyundai Canada or RIM and they provide a reference letter for me, then the chances of my application moving faster is much higher than if i was working for say, XYZ corporation or some private company.

Does anyone have any opinions or experience in such an issue? According to me it should not matter but one of my friend's opinion was that if say, RBC sends a reference letter with duties, salary and dates then the probability that the VO will be inclined to believe it at face value will be much higher than if a smaller unknown company send in a reference letter. and hence, the application will be processed faster. He is of the opinion it is human nature to believe that a large multinational company would be less inclined towards an individual and hence, less likely to put in wrong info on the letter ( i told him that my boss would be highly offended by this remark :P).

The problem was when he put it that way, it kinda convinced me.....and got me thinking. Now if only these companies would employ us then all our problem would be solved.....ha ha ha ha ha ha

what are other people's opinions here? Agree??? Disagree???

that's because so many people lied and cheated they ruined it for us normal honest ones.

Technically it make no sense to VO whoever sent the Reference letter. They validate info based on supports and documentation required in Checklist. so whether u sent a reference letter from any company time line remain same. Facilitation is good for those who work on closed work permit as their employer verification is already done by HRSDC.

Secondly, you may be able to secure a job in so called big companies, you will not be able to get a stapler to pin your application by them reference letter is too far to ask.. and believe me not even in your dreams.

I used to work for CIBC, worked for one year on important project but they can afford to loose me and not to sign a LMO form. Same with BMO I still carry offer letter from them but when it came to support candidate for PR they kick your ass in full force...

Smaller companies can be trusted and worth working than bigger companies.

I agree, in fact I will add that larger company prefer to let a temp worker go and hire another temp worker they don't like sponsoring PR or Greencards, that's how they keep wages low low low
I have seen far more people get PR and Greencards from marriage than from work.
in Fact I salute anyone who got it from work and didn't screw a Canadian/US woman or pay her for it.
