Hello everyone

I legally changed my name. Back in October. Did my name change on my driver license, SIN, health card.
I am very confused as should i change my name on PR card too.? Or should i wait till i apply for citizenship and then can show them my certificate of name change so that the new name appears on citizenship paper..
I am very confused.
Because if i change my name on PR card, its gonna cost me whereas if I wait till applying for citizenship(which is not until mid next year.. thanks to previous govt who changed the law from 3 to 4years)

Any advice..?

i suggest u better change ur name on pr card

ur name must appear same in every document which u obtained in canada

is ur name also different on passport? then change it too

it will not cause u any problem at all in getting citizenship, if u change name or do not change name.

Cannot change name in every document though.. COPR will still be on old name... immigration does not change name there unless its their fault.
And you need COPR when applying for citizenship
