Hello...

So i got a letter from nairobi VO dated 18 August 2014 on Friday 29 August 2014.

They requested the following info mentioned below within 60 days of this dated correspondence.

1) my complete medical or proof that my medical has been completed.

2) updated police certificate in my current country of residence.

3) My passport

4) Prepaid courier coupon.

Keeping fingers crossed for the police certificates as the police department here in Mauritius telling me that the wait shall be some 21 days.

Any idea regarding proof of medical that has been completed? I have got a payment receipt from my clinic plus an e-medical receipt with UMI number. Is that enough? I contacted my clinic yesterday where they mentioned that my med report has been uploaded last week.

Any senior member, please advise.

For medical proof. the doctor should give you a printout showing you have undergone a medical examination and its my hope that you didn't use your clinic but rather their won panel of physician at you country. use this website http://www.cic.gc.ca/pp-md/pp-list.aspx to find the panel of physician in your country. I hope all will go on well

You can try it, it only cost $5 and processing takes 30 calendar days. altough your file was filed soon, you can still have a try. I applied last year Nov 2013 and I started applying for GCMS notes every month since May, but there is still no progress at all.

Final update. My wife landed last night. Process was easy, took less than 10 minutes to go through immigration. Happy process is all over now. ;D

Looking4ward, mine took 5 months since they started processing on March 20, 2014 and then they requested passport starting this month of September. So just a little bit patience because if you follow my case, then you will get your passport request there on November and hopefully you did an upfront medical examination and submitted all necessary documents. Wish all the best

No I did not get. Its seems that Nairobi Office don't because i only got an emailed letter requesting for the passport. Good that you did an upfront medical examination so you can be sure they will communicate soon and will just request information and documents that they may need. All the best

Processing time in Nairobi shows 21 months as of now. However, some applicants may receive it as early as 5 months time. Would you share your process timeline?

Hello phinie11..

Actually the Clinic where I underwent my meds test is registered on CIC Medical Panel Board. I was provided my emedical tracking&information sheet and I also eclosed my receipt of payment as proofs that I sent to Nairobi. NORAH of CHC Nairobi signed my DHL courier on Monday 15 September 2014. I find it a bit strange though as why they have requested my passport also already?does this mean I will get all the documents at the earliest..say within couple of weeks time post 15 September 2014. My ECAS status still shows 'In Process'
