Hi all,

Apologies in advance if this has been asked and answered before, but I've looked through the posts and couldn't find anything relevant. So . . . . I'm in the EE pool and in the meantime am working on a NAFTA visa which I plan to renew in January. My Grade 11 daughter would like to get a part-time job, but I don't know if she's allowed to or if she would need permission (technically speaking, she's not on a student visa--just an accompanying visa). Assuming she does need permission, how difficult would that be to get?

Before I spend a couple of hours on the phone with CIC tomorrow, does anyone here happen to know? Big thanks in advance for any information. :-)

Unfortunately there is no way she can work legally.

Only foreign students at the college / university level are permitted to work.

She's out of luck.

Thanks, Scylla. That's not the answer I was hoping to hear, and I know she'll be bummed, but good to know. By this time next year, fingers crossed it'll be a moot point.

Again, appreciate the feedback. Cheers.
